How the Africa Cup ranking works
This is a separate unofficial ranking of African national teams, based only on CAF Africa Cup of Nations results, using the same method as the site's main World Cup ranking: points for the place taken at a tournament (4 000 for the champion, then fewer for every lower place), with «today» adding up the last four Africa Cups with weights 100%, 75%, 50% and 25%. It does not affect the World Cup ranking — the two are calculated independently. Open the all-time Africa Cup ranking or the main World Cup ranking.
